Holy Week at Salem Lutheran Church

Salem Lutheran Church is a vibrant congregation nestled in a quiet, family oriented neighborhood of West St. Paul. Just 0.2 miles west of Robert Street. A congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, we invite you to experience God’s grace with us!

Maundy Thursday

Maundy is a word derived from the Latin word, Mandatum, meaning “commandment.” In this service we remember the giving of a new commandment to love one another.

11:00 am service is for people who do not want to bee out at night.

7:00 pm service will include a Living Last Supper for the message.

Good Friday

The ancient title for this day—the triumph of the cross—reminds us to celebrate Christ’s life-giving passion and to find hope in the tree of life.

7:30 pm   Good Friday Cantata: “Song of Shadows”

Choir Director, Carl Lipke, leads the Chancel Choir in singing this Cantata by Joseph M Martin and Pamela Martin.
