- Kids’ bags filled with stuffed with toys, books, and crayons are available at the Sanctuary entrance.
- Staffed childcare is available every Sunday morning in our Nursery, as needed.
- When your child needs a break from worship, feel free to step out.
Salem partners with St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church during the school year (September – May) to offer a time for worship and learning for individuals and families. Classes are held every Wednesday evening from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm at St. Stephen’s. Dinner is served at 5:30 pm. One Wednesday of the month is celebrated as an All Church Activity Night at Salem.
Confirmation (6th – 9th Grade)
Salem’s confirmation ministry is an experience designed to nurture youth in the Christian faith. A creative program which seeks to meet youth where they are in life and helps them discover the joy of faith.Confirmation is built upon four basic Lutheran foundations — Bible study, worship, community, and service. We use these foundations to build a solid relationship with God, with friends and with the church. The class is held on Wednesday evenings from 5:30 – 7:00 pm. Dinner: 5:30 pm – 6:00 pm; Class: 6:00 – 7:00 pm. (mid-September through mid-May).
This summer Salem youth will go on field trips and plan other fun activities to engage in friendship with one another and the wider community. Be sure to check out the calendar for upcoming events.
Vacation Bible School
Salem partners with St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church in the summer and offers Vacation Bible School for children in Pre-K through 5th grade. The curriculum is different every year and engages children in a fun time of games, songs, activities that teach them about God’s love for them. This rich and enjoyable time of education is held at Salem and is a week-long event. This year, Vacation Bible School is from June 10th-June 14th (9:00 am – 12:00 pm). Register Now!
Lake Wapogasset Lutheran Bible Camp is affectionately known as Camp Wapo. It is an integral part of our ministry to children and youth. The statistics are overwhelming, children who attend a faith-based summer camp are more likely to maintain a life-long relationship with the church. A Wednesday morning program that provide fun activities for neighborhood children. We play all kinds of games, including water games, and have a snack. Wednesdays in July and August: 9:00 – 11:00 am
Each summer a team of youth and adult chaperones takes a mission trip. These trips are designed to nurture youth in the mission of Salem, to reach out to neighbors near and far.
