Worship is not another obligation to fulfill in an already busy week. It is an invitation to discover a sense of God’s presence in your life. Worship is a sabbath from the stress and anxiety of daily life. A chance to place all of our deepest concerns into God’s care. Worship is an invitation to discover you are not alone. Come and join us and discover a hope-filled alternative to daily life.
Sundays at 9:30
Worship at Salem is lively, blending traditional liturgy with creativity and musical variety. Our service is based on the worship patterns of the earliest Christian church, emphasizing Scripture, sacraments (Baptism and Holy Communion), prayer and song.
Holy Communion
Holy Communion is offered on the first and third Sundays of the month.
Education for all Ages
FAITH FORMATION
Salem partners with St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church during the school year (September – May) to offer a time for worship and learning for individuals and families. Classes are held every Wednesday evening from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm at St. Stephen’s. Dinner is served at 5:30 pm. One Wednesday of the month is celebrated as an All Church Activity Night at Salem.
VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL
Salem partners with St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church in the summer and offers Vacation Bible School for children in Pre-K through 5th grade. The curriculum is different every year and engages children in a fun time of games, songs, activities that teach them about God’s love for them. This rich and enjoyable time of education is held at Salem and is a week-long event.
Music
Our worship is enhanced by our Chancel Choir; our adult hand bell choir, the Jubilee Ringers; and hand bell choirs for children and youth. We also enjoy occasional instrumental and other special music.

Children
Children are always very welcome in worship at Salem! We encourage families with children to sit near the front where they can see best. Children’s sermons engage the faith and imagination of children and adults. Goodie bags and a nursery is available for use during worship.
