Worship & Music

November 18th, 2011

Worship the Lord with gladness; come into God’s presence with singing!  — Psalm 100:2

Sundays at 8:30 and 11:00 am

Worship at Salem is lively, blending traditional liturgy with creativity and musical variety. Our service is based on the worship patterns of the earliest Christian church, emphasizing Scripture, sacraments (Baptism and Holy Communion), prayer and song.

Holy Communion

Holy Communion is offered on the first and third Sundays of the month at both services.

Education for all Ages

Adults Forums and Christian Education for ages 3 – grade 12 are offered at 9:45 am.

Our worship is enhanced by our Chancel Choir; our adult handbell choir, the Jubilee Ringers; and handbell choirs for children and youth.  We also enjoy occasional instrumental and other special music.

Family Service

On the fourth Sunday of the month at 11 am we offer a family-friendly service that encourages the leadership and participation of people of all ages.

Children are always very welcome in worship at Salem!   We encourage families with children to sit near the front where they can see best.  Weekly children’s sermons engage the faith and imagination of children and adults. Goodie bags and a staffed nursery are available for those who need them.
