FAITH FORMATION
Salem partners with St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church during the school year (September – May) to offer a time for worship and learning for individuals and families. Classes are held every Wednesday evening from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm at St. Stephen’s. Dinner is served at 5:30 pm. The second Wednesday of the month is celebrated as an All Church Activity Night at Salem.
Youth
Confirmation (6th – 9th Grade)
Salem’s confirmation ministry is an experience designed to nurture youth in the Christian faith. A creative program which seeks to meet youth where they are in life and helps them discover the joy of faith.Confirmation is built upon four basic Lutheran foundations — Bible study, worship, community, and service. We use these foundations to build a solid relationship with God, with friends and with the church. The class is held on Wednesday evenings from 5:30 – 7:00 pm. Dinner: 5:30 pm – 6:00 pm; Class: 6:00 – 7:00 pm. (mid-September through mid-May).
Summer
Camp Wapo
Lake Wapogasset Lutheran Bible Camp is affectionately known as Camp Wapo. It is an integral part of our ministry to children and youth. The statistics are overwhelming, children who attend a faith-based summer camp are more likely to maintain a life-long relationship with the church. Salem encourages children to attend and supports them with scholarship assistance. Click here for more information about Camp Wapo.
