We are excited about what lies ahead and look forward to serving you and your family on your faith journey!

Faith Formation opportunities start on September 13th—COME JOIN THE DANCE!

St. Stephen’s and Salem Lutheran will work together to provide Faith Formation opportunities for our youth and families.  The general Wednesday night schedule will be: 5:30-6:00pm family dinner, 6:00-6:20pm Large Group learning and singing; 6:25-7:00pm Small group learning (This includes an adult learning opportunity also!).

SUNDAY MORNING: Wee Wonder (Ages 1-3+ with their parents/guardians) will meet following the church service at 10:40 AM. This is for kids and their adult(s) together! We pray, sing songs, watch a video, do some art and just love together! It is a wonderful time for adult connection also. This class lasts about 20-30 minutes! We will start on Sunday September 24th.

WEDNESDAY NIGHTS: Pre-school (4 year old) through 5th grade will meet on Wednesday night at St. Stephen’s. Starts on Wednesday September 13th.

WEDNESDAY NIGHTS: Confirmation age classes (6th, 7th, 8th grades) will meet on Wednesday night at St. Stephen’s.  Starts on Wednesday September 13th.

WEDNESDAY NIGHTS: Adult time for all will meet on Wednesday night at St. Stephen’s. Time for fellowship and discussion. Starts on Wednesday September 13th.

NIGHT TO BE DETERMINED: Youth Group for any 9th grader or above. This list will be shared with and then you will be contacted by Hannah Ruikka (youth activity coordinator).

THE 3rd WEDNESDAY OF EACH MONTH WILL BE ACTIVITY WEDNESDAY and these will be held at Salem Lutheran Church. The activity nights are for all ages! Activities could include: baby shower, game night, blanket making, “Ziploc Bags of Love” for persons experiencing homelessness, Christmas Caroling, etc.

We strongly encourage you to make Wednesday Night a family night—1 1/2 hours a week to begin or continue faith building with your family. A church can help to plant the faith seeds, but the faith seeds are nurtured and grown at home—we at St. Stephen’s and Salem Lutheran want to help you be the strongest family you can be!

Salem hosts a variety of events throughout the year and also partners with programs such as Neighborsinc. and Feed My Starving Children to offer everyone the opportunity to engage in our mission to foster community and reach out to our neighbors, near and far. We also have volunteer opportunities for Sunday services; you could help with serving communion, being an usher, greeting members and visitors and other positions. Training is provided. Upcoming events will be listed on the homepage.

Are you interested in serving at Salem? There are many opportunities to engage in the community and share your talents. Fore more information about ways you can help, please e-mail the church office and type “volunteer inquiry” in the subject line.
